Thai PE regained ground in China market, market continue showing strong resistance

It is reported that a major Thailand producer has lifted latest PE offers to China by $10-20/ton from last week amid improving buying sentiment in recent days and firm local market.  

The producer’s price list is shown in the following table:

On the other side, Chinese buyers, especially converters, are becoming even more reluctant to pursue transactions at the latest price list as they struggle to protect end product profit margins. “The producer’s offers are surpassing the previous highs and we find it hard to accept, though HDPE supply remains tight at the moment. We are looking at other more competitive sources before making new purchases,” a buyer said.
