Major local maker lifted PP, PE prices in Indonesia

On the final trading day of the week, a major producer in Indonesia decided to increase PP and PE offers to local buyers with solid support from persistent healthy demand for PE. 

The producer’s latest price list and changes are shown in the following table:

The upward adjustment is much in line with market expectation as a number of traders have already keeping firm stance on the cargoes since the beginning of the week, when the producer maintain offers unchanged from last week. “We managed to achieve satisfactory deals for HDPE and LLDPE film, however, demand for PP is rather slow. We hope the purchasing activities continue to recover in the coming week,” a trader said.
