Local Indonesia PP and PE market gains stabilisation

A major domestic producer in Indonesia announced fresh price list at stable to firmer levels after achieving satisfactory sales for PE cargoes in the previous week. It is reported that buyers continue to send in inquiries for LLDPE film this week, while demand for other grades remains slow. 

The producer’s latest price list and changes are shown in the following table:

A trader added, “We were expecting some increases on main grades given the strengthening upstream costs. We might hold our offers for a couple of days since there is room for offers to firm up. In the meantime, demand for homo-PP is soft.”
