Iran's Laleh and Marun to shut PE plants for maintenance

According to market sources, both Laleh Petrochemical and Marun Petrochemical is going to shut its PE units by end of April for turnaround.
Based in Iran, Laleh Petrochemical has a LDPE production capacity of 300,000 tons/year, is entering scheduled turnaround as planned, meanwhile, Marun Petrochemical's 300,000 tons/year HDPE plant is shutting down for maintenance due to insufficient of ethylene supply. Both plants are expected to remain off-stream for a month, and Chinese players are expecting the supply of Iranian PE especially for May shipments would be affected.
