Domestic maker continue cutting PP, PE offers in Indonesia

In spite of improved purchasing activities in the nearby China market, sentiment in local Indonesia remains pretty sluggish. A major local producer continues to cut offers for LLDPE and PP cargoes while maintaining HDPE prices unchanged week on week. The continuous price reduction, however, has not attracted sufficient buying interest.

A trader informed, “Until this moment, the market is still very lax. Our customers are very reluctant to make fresh purchases and with the Ramadan and school-holiday season coming up, we are not very optimistic about the medium-term outlook.”
