China's Sinopec Zhenhai to shut naphtha cracker for maintenance

According to market sources, Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical is planning to shut its naphtha-fed steam cracker by second half of May for a planned turnaround.

Based in Zhenhai, Zhejiang province, China, the plant is able to produce 1 million tons/year of ethylene, 550,000 tons/year of propylene and 180,000 tons/year of butadiene. It is expected to remain off-stream until end of June 2018.
