Singaporean maker slashed mPE offers to China, jumpstart demand

A major Singaporean maker reportedly implemented $20/ton reduction week on week on metallocene cargoes to China, bringing latest price list to $1350-1360/ton CFR China, LC AS term.
After much struggle to achieve satisfactory sale result in the previous week, buyers seem carrying better interest this time, from which a number of deals have been achieved.
A buyer said, “We think these prices are relatively competitive hence decided to make fresh buy. We are also considering purchasing some quantity of Thailand and UAE cargoes given that market prospect is positive now.”
