Major Malaysian maker stepped back on PP, PE offers in local market

Malaysian buyers reported to have received fresh PP and PE offers for April 2018 delivery from a major local producer with MYR250/ton ($65/ton) decreased for PPBC and LDPE, MYR200/ton ($52/ton) for homo-PP, BOPP, PPRC, and HDPE as compared to last month.

A trader added, “Prices were softer as per market’s expectation with recent softer import markets, however, our supplier informed to have shortage of LLDPE supply recently as they are clearing backlogs for Indonesia market, hence they have skipped LLDPE offers this time.”
