UPDATES: Further progress on China's CSPC new PP, PE plant startups

According to market sources, CNOOC and Shell Petrochemical Co Ltd (CSPC) (Phase II) has started up its new LLDPE plant this week, however, currently still pending for achieving on-spec grades.

On the other hand, a source closed to the company informed that the new HDPE plant has not been started up yet, and new PP plant is still facing some issues during trial production. Based in Guangzhou, China, the Phase II project consists of 300,000 tons/year of LLDPE plant, as well as HDPE and PP plant with 400,000 tons/year each.
