LG Chem's cracker remains offline after power failure
A power failure occurred at LG Chem’s Yeosu plant on 6 March 2018 that caused an emergency shutdown at its naphtha cracker. The unit remains offline as of today, 8 March and sources are expecting the cracker to resume operation soon.
The cracker is able to produce 1.15 million tons of ethylene and 480,000 tons of propylene annually.
