Indian players: March shipment offers for PVC likely to witness additional hike

It is expected that Fareast Asian producers might announce March shipment offers for PVC to India within this week before going off for the long Lunar New Year. Most players are looking at $30-50/ton increased from last month, especially from major Taiwanese makers, which might push latest prices to above the $1000/ton threshold.

Buyers are prepared to accept the potential hike citing improving demand condition ahead of the traditional peak season. “Supply might be tight given several production issues in Japan, Taiwan and USA. Even local suppliers are not having sufficient cargoes,” a source said.
