Thailand's PTTGC unexpectedly shutdown new LLDPE line

There have been reports that Thailand’s PTT Global Chemical unexpectedly shutdown its LLDPE line on Thursday, 18 January 2018 due to mechanical issues. The newly constructed unit was under trial run when the incident took place.

The line has designated capacity of 400,000 tons/year might remain off-line for one to two weeks, sources said. At the meantime, the company is also planning a brief maintenance shutdown at two of its HDPE line in this February.
