Qatari maker lower PE offer to China, supply is regular

A Qatari producer has announced fresh weekly PE offers to China with $10/ton reduction from last week, bringing latest price list to $1150/ton for LLDPE film and $1180/ton for LDPE film, all based on CFR China, LC 60 days term. It is reported that supply from the maker is normalising while buyers are having a broader choice of LDPE film cargoes at more competitive levels.

A trader said, “Many other suppliers have cut LDPE film offers in order to stimulate sales. Our customers are putting heavier interest in those lower costs cargoes.”

In fact, a good number of deals for India, USA, Brazil and Russian LDPE film cargoes are observed today in the range $1120-1150/ton CFR China term. This clearly signals an improved demand condition, just yet most deals are taking place at the lower end of the overall price range.
