China's Shenhua Ningxia Coal failed to startup new PE plant smoothly

It is reported that Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group (Ningmei) has unexpectedly shut its new coal-based PE plants (Phase II) today due to unexpected technical glitches.

Based in Ningxia, China, the plant has a production capacity of 450,000 tons/year. It has newly started up since last weekend, however, according to a source closed to the company, the production is still unstable, mainly due to the winter condition and the plant is expected to remain off-stream for about 10 days.
