Media: Singapore's Shell hit by fire, no injuries reported

A fire broke out on Sunday, 10 December at Shell’s petrochemical complex in Pulau Bukom, Singapore. An official statement from the company confirmed the incident while adding that the fire was extinguished by fire-fighters at the site. No injuries were reported.
It remains unclear on which unit of the complex was affected; yet the company’s officials are not expecting any major impact on the customers.
The petrochemical complex houses a cracker producing 960,000 tons/year of ethylene; 450,000 tons/year of propylene; and 155,000 tons/year of butadiene.
