Iran's Kourosh started construction for propylene complex

According to market sources, Kourosh Petrochemical Plant has started construction of its petrochemical complex since 4 December 2017.
Based in Mahshahr, Khuzestan province in Iran, the plant is designed to produce 150,000 tons/year of propylene and its derivatives. The plant which built in an area of 10 hectares, is expected to be completed in 40 months with cost of $190 million.
Futhermore, there are 27 other petrochemical projects which are currently underway in the same area, which involved an investment of about $1.5 billion, aiming to add further 7-8 million tons/year of petrochemical production in the next several years.
