Fire occurred at Brazil's Braskem complex, operation affected

Market sources reported of a fire broke out at Brazil’s petrochemical giant – Braskem on late Monday, 4 December 2017. No casualties are reported, however, the complex is forced to shutdown. It is unsure about the extent of the damage at the moment, and the company is still evaluating on how long it would take to bring the plant back to normal.
The occurrence took place at Triunfo complex, which houses a dedicated LDPE capacity of 375,000 tons/year and a swing unit capable of producing additional 300,000 tons/year of LDPE.
