Thailand's PTT to startup new LLDPE plant this month

Market sources reported that PTT Global Chemical (PTTGC) is planning to startup its new LLDPE plant by 15 December 2017.

Based in Map Ta Phut, Thailand, the new plant has a production capacity of 400,000 tons/year. A source closed to the company informed that their initial production planning for this new plant shall be producing LLDPE C4 film grade, however, will be switching to metallocene PE grade depending on market situation from time to time.
