Major Thai maker cuts LDPE offers to China

Chinese players reportedly received new offers from a major Thailand producer with a stable to decrease of $10/ton for HDPE film to reach $1350/ton, and stable to $35/ton decrease for LDPE film and heavy duty, reaching $1225/ton and $1250/ton respectively, all on a CFR China, LC at sight basis.

A trader commented, “Recent weaker trend for LDPE has pressured our supplier to adjust price lower, meanwhile continuous limited supply availability for HDPE film is still supporting the price trend. However, we are expecting for a price reduction period for HDPE film starting next month with the expectation of the supply easing due to arrivals of some cargoes to the port.”
