Iran to build the country's first MTP plant in 2026

Market sources reported that Iran’s Petrochemical Research and Technology Company (PTRC) is planning to construct first methanol-to-propylene (MTP) plant in Iran during Year 2026.

Based in southwest Mahshahr, Iran, the project will be assisted by France’s Air Liquide for the construction engineering and upon project completion, the plant will be able to produce 500,000 tons/year of propylene.
