PP futures for January delivery showed significant firm trend during the morning session with hike of CNY147/ton ($22/ton) from the previous session, reaching CNY9115/ton ($1173/ton without VAT).

Same contract for LLDPE concluded the session at CNY9640/ton ($1241/ton without VAT), an increased of CNY65/ton ($10/ton).

PP spot market in East China at CNY8900-9100/ton ($‎1146-1171/ton without VAT), a CNY100/ton ($8-15/ton) up as compared to last Friday.

LLDPE film spot market in North China at CNY9650-9750/ton ($‎1242-1255/ton without VAT), a CNY50-100/ton ($8-15/ton) hike as compared to previous session.

Market sentiment and trading activities were slow as sellers claimed to have weaker buying interests from customers after price hike being implemented, meanwhile they are mostly on the wait and see stance. However, there are expectations that prices might remain on firm stance with the support of stronger future market.
