UPDATE: Saudi Kayan to expand ethylene cracker during shutdown

As reported earlier, Saudi Kayan Petrochemical is taking its 1.48 million tons per year ethylene cracker in Jubail, Saudi Arabia ofstream on 12 November for 41 days. During the shutdown, the company is planning to expand the ethylene output by 93,000 tons per year while several other downstream units would also .be offline

Saudi Kayan Petrochemical is an affiliate of SABIC, with 70% of the company shares owned by the Saudi Arabian government and 30% held by private investors.
