Major Thai producer lifted HDPE offers to China

Chinese players reportedly received fresh PE offers from a major Thailand maker today with stable offers for LDPE film and heavy duty at $1280/ton and $1300/ton, a $10/ton hike for LLDPE to reach $1270/ton, $30-40/ton increased for HDPE film and yarn at $1330-1340/ton, all on a CFR China, LC AS term, shipment by second half of December 2017.

A trader commented, “HDPE film market sentiment have been speculated too much these two days, causing domestic price surged significantly, and there are some small deals concluded at this level, because the price level is still competitive compared to local market, but we believed that the price level is hitting the peak, as there are expectation that supply for deep sea cargoes will start coming afterward.”
