Taiwan's Formosa to shut cracker for maintenance next year
According to market sources, Formosa Plastics Corporation (FPC) is planning to shut its No. 1 naphtha-fed steam cracker by June 2018 for a scheduled turnaround.
Based in Mailiao, Taiwan, the cracker is able to produce 700,000 tons/year of ethylene and 350,000 tons/year of propylene. It is expected to remain off-stream for 40 days.
