Emergency shutdown at Lotte Chemical Titan's HDPE plant

According to market sources, Lotte Chemical Titan has unexpectedly shut its HDPE (PE3 Unipol) line since 26 October 2017 due to technical glitches.
Based in Tanjung Langsat, Malaysia, the HDPE plant has a production capacity of 115,000 tons/year. A source closed to the company informed that there are some attempts for restart but failed. “We might face subsequent tight supply for November if the plant is still unable to resume within this week,” the source added.
