Major Qatari maker lifted PE offers to China despite calmer sentiment

A major producer from Qatar has announced new offers for PE to China today with increased of $5-10/ton for LLDPE film to reach $1180-1190/ton and LDPE film by $20/ton to reach $1260/ton, all on a CFR China, LC AS term.

A trader commented, “Market trend is entering correction period as buyers continuously resisting the high price level, however, our supplier still insisted to hold firm stance on their offers, hence we believed that the feedback from customers this week will not be optimistic. We are expecting prices to have slight softer note in the near term.”
