Thailand producer announces new PE offers to China

Chinese players reported to have received fresh weekly PE offers from a major Thailand producer today. It is not surprised that new prices for HDPE firmed up $20/ton week on week due to strong buying interest for this grade. In contrast, LDPE prices dropped $20/ton.

Latest prices list stand at $1290/ton for HDPE film and yarn, at $1270/ton for LDPE film and at $1290/ton for LDPE heavy duty, all based on CFR China, LC AS term. There are no LLDPE film offers at the moment.

A good number of deals for HDPE have been reported at no discount. “We only managed to secure 108 tons of HDPE film from the principal supplier while most others are unble to secure any quantity. The current market condition might persist in the near term. On the other hand, LDPE film is not performing so well as supply is more comfortable.”
