China to impose vessel restrictions in Jiangsu port

According to a non-public document of Jiangsu MSA on the supervision and management measures, it is banning all vessel carrying bulk chemicals belong to Category X and Category Y from docking and departure in/from Jiangsu port during the Communist Party Congress in October. The duration would be one week prior to the 19th session and 3 days after the session (11-29 October 2017).

Styrene monomers (SM) and monoethylene glycol (MEG) are among chemicals belong to the category Y; however the restrictions on MEG has been lifted.
