Major Qatari producer stepped back on PE offers to China

A major Qatari producer has announced new offers for PE cargoes to China today with $10-20/ton reduction from pre-holiday last month, whereby LLDPE film stands at $1180/ton and LDPE film at $1230/ton, both on a CFR China, LC 60 days basis.

A trader commented, “Weaker market sentiment caused our supplier to step back on their offers, but we are not confidence on the deals this time as in the market there are some sellers trying to offer $10/ton cheaper than price list for LLDPE, in LC 90 days term but still unable to attract much buying interests.”
