Malaysia's Petronas to shut LDPE for maintenance

According to market sources, PETLIN (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of PETRONAS is planning to shut its LDPE plant for a scheduled turnaround in April 2016.
Located at Kerteh, Malaysia, the LDPE unit has a production capacity of 255,000 ton/year. The unit is expected to remain offline for about 10 days. Meanwhile, market sources also reported some technical glitches at PETRONAS’s LLDPE plant, resulted in tight supply in domestic Malaysia market.
