Japan's Mitsubishi to shut naphtha cracker in May 2018

According to market sources, Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation is planning to shut its naphtha cracker for a scheduled turnaround by early May 2018.
Based in Kashima, Japan, the cracker is able to produce 540,000 tons/year of ethylene and 260,000 tons/year of propylene. It is expected to remain off-stream for about 2 months.
