According to market sources, Singapore’s The Polyolefins Company is planning to conduct a major maintenance shutdown at its LDPE lines early quarter 3 next year. The 260,000 tons/year unit is expected to be taken off-stream in July and would remain offline for approximate 60 days.

The producer is now building inventories in preparation for the shutdown, players said, which resulted in lower allocation, especially LDPE lamination grade to regular customers.
