Taiwanese major rollover PVC offers to China, SEA; down-adjusted to India

A major Taiwanese producer has announced October shipment offers for PVC to China and Southeast Asia at unchanged level from last month, at $950/ton CIF/CFR, LC AS term. Meanwhile, the maker reportedly down-adjusted prices to India after implemented $60/ton hike in the previous week, yet bumped into stiff resistance. The latest price list showed a reduction of $40/ton from last week, yet still a $20/ton increased month on month, reaching $1010/ton CIF India, LC AS term.

Demand condition in China is softening with domestic prices drop two consecutive weeks ahead of the National Day holiday. In contrast, Indian players are hoping to see better acceptance level after the price adjustment. An Indian trader said, “Buyers started to show positive respond and we hope demand to improve in the coming days, especially with local market move firmer recently.”
