Thai maker stepped back on LLDPE film offers to China, maintain others stable

It is reported that a major Thailand producer has announced fresh weekly PE offers to China with $30/ton reduction on LLDPE film cargoes, while maintaining other grades unchanged.

The latest price list stands at $1290/ton for HDPE film, $1295/ton for HDPE yarn, $1350/ton for LLDPE film, $1330/ton for LDPE film and $1360/ton for LDPE heavy duty, all based on CFR China, LC AS term.

The move reflected the difficulties facing the producer in attracting buying interest after implemented dramatic hike in the past week. A trader said, “It also showed that market has reached the peak, in which HDPE and LLDPE film cargoes priced above the $1300/ton threshold are out of acceptance range at the moment. Our regular buyers are placing lower bids to conclude deals and we might monitor a little longer before making decision.”
