Toyo awarded EPC contract for Indonesian petchem project

Indonesia’s Chandra Asri Chemical announced that the company has entered an alliance with Toyo Engineering Corporation to provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services to its new polyethylene plant. The alliance, signed for term of three year will require Toyo to handle detailed design, procurement and construction of the plant.

The plant is expected to commence operation by 2020, adding another 400,000 tons/year of polyethylene to Chandra Asri’s current output, boosting annual production to 736,000 tons/year. The new unit is just adjacent to the existing plant in the city of Cilegon, Banten, Indonesia.
