Several petrochemical plants in the state of Texas, USA were forced to shutdown earlier this week after a tropical cyclone caused catastrophic flooding in the area. According to media reports, water level is still rising at the time this report is published, putting great uncertainty on the restart schedule at these plants. There is no confirmation on how severe is the impact of the event on these petchem complexes.
