Emergency breakdown at Thai Polyethylene's HDPE plant
According to market sources, Thai Polyethylene Co, a subsidiary of Siam Cement Group has unexpectedly shut its No. 2 HDPE plant since last week due to technical glitches.
Based in Map Ta Phut, Thailand, the No. 2 HDPE plant has a production capacity of 180,000 mt/year. It is expected to remain off-stream until end of September 2017.
