Thailand's PTT invested in packaging plant in Myanmar

According to an official statement from PTT Global Chemical Company Limited (PTTGC), the company has initiated a joint investment plan to open a plastic bag manufacturing plant in Myanmar.

The investment is created through PTTGC’s wholly own subsidiary – Solution Creation Company Limited and other partners, including TPBI International Company Limited and Myanmar Star Group Company Limited. The respective share portion is at 10% - 65% and 25%.

The investment plan has been submitted to the Myanmar Investment Commission, which would be approved within 6 months from the submission date. This project is in line with PTTGC’s medium to long term strategies to promote polymer market expansion in CLMV area (Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam).
