Saudi's Rabigh II achieved on-spec Nylon 6, commercial sales to start this month

According to market sources, Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Co (PetroRabigh) has started up commercial production at its Rabigh II project, from which on-spec Nylon 6 is achieved. Sales for this grade are set to start this month, though initial packaging remains in jumbo bags.

The Nylon 6 unit is designed to produce 75,000 tons/year and the company is targeting China and India for the marketing stage. Besides, the 80,000 tons/year EVA/LDPE swing unit is in the trial run period and expected to reach stable production by early quarter four this year.
