Thai maker lifted HDPE, PP block offers to Vietnam amid limited cargoes

A major Thailand producer has opened fresh offers to Vietnam this week after an extended period of absence due to lacking cargoes availability. New offers stand at $1190-1195/ton for HDPE blow molding and $1145/ton for PP block copolymer, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

Acceptance among buyers toward the latest offers remains very low and few are interested to place bids, pointing to weak local ground. “However, we are not having much quantity on hand given the unexpected shutdown at HDPE line number 2 over the weekend. Supply from our side might remain tight in the coming months, hence we would monitor further before making any adjustment,” a source close to the producer said.
