Sinopec Dalian's refinery on fire, no impact on PP units

According to market sources, Sinopec Dalian Petrochemical Co has experienced unexpected fire since 18:40 yesterday, whereby the fire is at its 1.4 million tons/year heavy oil catalytic device cracking unit fractionation zone’s fuel pump, located at Liaoning, China. The fire has under controlled and further details on the incident are still under inspection.

The in and outbound of the materials at the site has been cut off, and there is no leakage of materials being spotted. The data of all 4 monitoring sub-stations are normal. A source closed to the company informed that both of its PP plants with total production capacity of 270,000 tons/year are still operating normally, with no impact from this incident.
