Thailand's PE offers journey north in China

A major producer from Thailand has announced fresh weekly PE offers to China today with an increased of $10-15/ton for HDPE film and yarn compared to last week to reach $1170/ton and $1175/ton respectively, meanwhile $10/ton for LDPE film to reach $1230/ton and stable offers for LDPE heavy duty at $1240/ton, $20/ton for LLDPE C4 film at $1240/ton and $15/ton for metallocene at $1230/ton, all on a CFR China, LC AS term.

A trader commented, “Prices continuously move higher but we are facing stronger resistance from buyers, although some grades especially HDPE are limited in the market. We are expecting for some price adjustment before further price hike.”
