Major Southeast Asian maker lifted mPE price to China

Chinese players reportedly received fresh offers from a major Southeast Asian producer for metallocene PE with an increased of $10-20/ton compared to last week, to reach $1290/ton, on a CFR China, LC at sight basis.

A trader commented, “Our supplier seems does not have inventory pressure, and prices are being supported by recent stronger feedstock costs, however, we are facing continuous resistance from our buyers toward firm trend. So far our customers are still not having any improvements in terms of buying activities.”
