Emergency shutdown at Sinopec Qilu's PP and PE plants
According to market sources, Sinopec Qilu Petrochemical Co Ltd has unexpectedly shut its polyolefin plants last night due to technical glitches at its compressor.
Based in Shandong, China, the company has a 70,000 tons/year PP plant, a 140,000 tons/year LDPE plant, a 120,000 tons/year LLDPE plant, and 3 HDPE plants with total production capacity of 390,000 tons/year. The restart schedule could not be ascertained.
