Thailand producer continue lifting PE prices to Vietnam

A major Thailand producer has announced fresh weekly offers for PE to Vietnam with additional $20/ton increased as general sentiment across Asia warm up. Latest offers stand at $1130/ton for both HDPE and LLDPE film, $1150/ton for HDPE yarn and at $1230/ton for LDPE film, all based on CIF Vietnam, LC AS term.

An agent offered on behalf of the producer said, “Our regular buyers are asking for a small discount on deals as most other cargoes are offered at higher levels now. Buyers are very cautious about making replenishment and we think it is difficult for prices to extend further hike, especially with China market is loosing steam.”
