Another Saudi maker announced new PP, PE offers to Indonesia

Indonesian sources have received fresh PP and PE offers from another Saudi Arabia producer for August shipment with increases month on month. However, the hike is rather humble, in the range $10-20/ton as the maker attempt to attract buying interest in the presence of competitive local materials.

Latest offers from the producer stand at $1120/ton for HDPE film, $1130/ton for LLDPE film, $1080/ton for homo-PP and $1100/ton for PP block copolymer, all based on CIF Indonesia, LC AS term.

A source close to the producer commented, “The competition is there. Yet, with the recent firming trend in local ground, we think our offers become more workable. At the meantime, we are not having large allocation this month due to unexpected production issues.”
