Thailand's HDPE prices journey north in China

A major producer from Thailand has announced fresh weekly PE offers to China today with increased of $30/ton on HDPE film and yarn as compared to last week, to reach $1140/ton and $1150/ton respectively, both on a CFR China, LC AS term, for shipment on September.

A trader commented, “Recently tight supply and limited offers in the market for these grades attracted our supplier to impose significant price hike to China meanwhile they are having low inventory pressure due to scheduled turnaround. We are expecting for firmer outlook in the near term.”
