Chinese suppliers lifted export coal based homo-PP prices on firming local ground

A major Chinese producer reportedly lifted export offers for coal based homo-PP by $15/ton from last week to $1080/ton FOB China, LC AS term. The source pointed to tightening general supply and firming local ground as a support for the price decision.

Though no deal observed at the latest price levels, the supplier has no plan to down adjust their offers with a source close to the producer said, “Supply for homo-PP yarn in local China is a bit tight at the moment and we might focus on domestic ground instead. Buyers, especially in Southeast Asia are not showing great interest, and we might monitor further for clearer direction.”
