China's Luoyang Petrochemical restarted PP plant after emergency shutdown

According to market sources, Sinopec Luoyang Petrochemical Co Ltd has restarted its PP unit today after the company was forced to undertake an emergency shutdown on 9 March 2016 due to a technical glitch. The unit currently produces homo-PP fiber grade.

Located at Luoyang, China, the new PP unit has a production capacity of 140,000 ton/year, while its old 80,000 ton/year PP unit has been shut for indefinite time frame.
