Major Thai maker cuts PE offers to China

Market players from China reportedly receiving fresh offers from major Thailand producer today with reduction of $10/ton for HDPE film and yarn to reach $1100/ton and $1110/ton respectively, $5/ton decrease for LDPE film to reach $1145/ton and $10/ton decrease for LDPE heavy duty to reach $1160/ton, all based on CFR China, LC at sight term.

A trader commented, “Basically most of the PE grades already reached current price level since last week after traders stepped back on their offers in order to attract deals. Meanwhile, our supplier also invited bids for larger volume for 500 tons and above last week, and with the upcoming scheduled turnaround, most probably our supplier will try to hold stable stance on their offers.”
